Butt Lift Surgery (BBL)

Also referred to as the Brazilian Butt Lift or BBL surgery. BBL surgery involves liposuction of multiple body areas and transfer of the fat to the buttock region. The goal of the procedure is to improve irregularities of the buttock skin and/or augment buttock volume. For many patients BBL surgery is a way to improve buttock shape and overall curves of the midsection.

Your Initial Consultation With Dr. Avram

At the time of your initial consultation, you will sit down with Dr. Avram to discuss the goals for your BBL surgery. Once all of your questions have been answered, Dr. Avram will assess your buttock & midsection plus other anatomic regions (back, thighs) to determine whether there is sufficient fat available to achieve your goals.

Your Incisions

The most common incision lines for BBL surgery are multiple small incisions through which the liposuction cannulas are inserted. Every effort is made to conceal the small incision lines within natural skin folds.

Anesthesia

An anesthetist will be present during your surgery to administer a general anesthetic. You will be very comfortable and asleep during your BBL procedure. BBL surgery can take anywhere from 3-4 hours to perform.

Recovery Time

Dr. Avram suggests that you take at least 2 to 3 weeks off work for recovery. You will receive specific return to work and post operative care instructions to follow as you heal. A supportive garment/binder will be supplied and should be worn for a minimum of 4 weeks. Sitting restrictions may apply depending on the areas treated. For optimal BBL results, be sure to follow your post operative care instructions very carefully.

Additional Procedures
